Screenings

Screenings are a preliminary assessment that evaluate a child’s speech, receptive and expressive language, voice, and fluency skills. Children who demonstrate delays in any of these areas may be referred for an in-depth evaluation to determine their specific areas of weakness. Screenings can only be conducted on-site within an educational setting or daycare facility.

Comprehensive Evaluation

The purpose of an in-depth speech and language evaluation is to specifically identify all areas of weakness in communication skills. Testing may include assessment of articulation skills, expressive and receptive language, word finding, language processing, critical thinking skills, written language abilities and social language skills, based on screening results and/or expressed concerns. Each evaluation comes with a full, formal written report that includes test results, detailed analysis of performance, recommendations, treatment goals, and if applicable, a diagnosis.
